Task Force Climate Common Heritage of Humankind

A Conferência “Clima Património da Humanidade” pretende partilhar conhecimento e debater a importância de um novo regime jurídico para o Clima e, nesse contexto, iniciar um diálogo entre os países da CPLP sobre o reconhecimento do Clima como Património Comum da Humanidade.
Espera-se que esta reflexão posicione os países de língua portuguesa no debate global sobre a necessidade de uma mudança de paradigma assente no desenvolvimento de modelos económicos mais favoráveis à garantia da estabilidade do clima a nível planetário, por via da valorização económica dos esforços e políticas públicas de proteção, conservação e restauro do Sistema Terrestre.

The “Climate Heritage of Humankind” Conference aims to share knowledge and debate the importance of a new legal regime for Climate and, in that context, to initiate a dialogue between the CPLP countries about the recognition of Climate as a Common Heritage of Humanity.
It is hoped that this reflection will position the Portuguese-speaking countries in the global debate on the need for a paradigm shift based on the development of economic models more conducive to ensuring climate stability on a planetary level, through the economic valuation of efforts and public policies for the protection, conservation and restoration of the Earth System.
