Nicole Friedman joined the Andes Amazon Fund in September 2022. She previously worked as the Communications Officer at the Netherlands-based World Fish Migration Foundation, where she developed global communications campaigns on the topics of freshwater conservation and river connectivity restoration.
Nicole grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, and spent her childhood exploring the protected mountains, coastlines, and forests of California. These experiences developed her appreciation for the natural world, and her desire to protect it for current and future generations.
Nicole holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies with a Minor in Spanish from Bates College, and spent six months living and studying in Chile.
