Protecting Lands, Preserving Life
With the most biodiverse regions comes the greatest opportunity to preserve life. From the eastern Andes mountains to the lowland Amazon, we are working to protect the homes of many Indigenous Peoples and a vast diversity of plants and animals.

Safeguarding the Andes-Amazon Through New Legal Protection
As of November 2025, Andes Amazon Fund surpassed 50 million acres (20.2 million ha) with new legal protection in the Andes-Amazon, an area equivalent to about four times the size of Costa Rica or nearly the combined area of all 63 national parks in the United States.
These areas encompass new or expanded protected areas and Indigenous lands in Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, and Brazil. We also support ongoing conservation area creation processes in Suriname and Guyana.
Upon their designation, our mission is to enable effective governance and management systems for these areas and, in collaboration with our partners, identify long-term financing options for their protection.
