Margarita Medina Müller has conducted project monitoring and grantee capacity building in Peru for Andes Amazon Fund since 2015. Prior to this, she worked for over 10 years for NGOs based in Peru that focus on protected area conservation and leadership development in Indigenous Amazonian communities.

Margarita has also worked for the Peruvian National Institute of Natural Resources (INRENA) and has consulted for several international government institutions. She has conducted and published research on amphibians and the management of tropical forests and has been a research associate at San Marcos Natural History Museum.

Margarita studied biology at Ricardo Palma University in Lima and received an M.S. in Management and Conservation of Tropical Forest and Biodiversity at the Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE) in Costa Rica.
